This name plaque was custom designed and crafted. The name letters were cut from Bloodwood, with the background wood cut from Cherry, and the backing cut from Walnut. The road is Blue Makore, with stripes of Curly Maple, The railroad crossing is also Curly Maple, and the fire engine ladder is Walnut. The train engine was cut from Brazilian Pernambuco. The school bus and the tow truck were cut from Yellowheart. The tires on all the cars and trucks, as well as the dark tunnel entrances and the train’s coal car were all cut and engraved pieces of Blue Makore. The red STOP sign on the railroad crossing, the blue car, the green truck, the red fire engine, and the purple railroad car were cut from different colors of Dyed Curly Maple. With the exception of the dyed Curly Maple parts, no paints, stains or dyes were used to achieve the different coloring; these are the natural colors of the woods. Only a light coating of wax was used as a surface finish.
